Taiwan is a country that is known for its delicious street food. In every country in Southeast Asia, it is possible to see crowded stalls selling food on the street. But none of them are as organized, encouraging, and mouth-watering as the night markets in Taipei. In Southeast Asia, night markets are full of stalls selling souvenirs and fake brands for tourists. But not in Taipei. When it comes to night markets, there are mouth-watering stalls that open after sunset and serve food non-stop until midnight, and there are kind people who eat a little bit from each stall and move on. Taiwan is a country that is proud of its cuisine, which can be both traditional and gourmet. You can easily witness this pride and commitment by taking a walk through the bustling night markets full of stalls that have been awarded Bib Gourmand by the Michelin Guide.

Stinky Tofu - Stinky tofu is a great dish that was accidentally discovered thanks to an uncle who had to wait for the tofu. I have to be careful when I say great. This tofu is great if you eat it fried, but if you eat it steamed or boiled... you may not be able to eat it. I smelled horse manure when I tried to eat it steamed. The most successful one is in the small shop with a table inside, near the temple at Shilin Night Market. You can recognize them by the two types of food they serve; one is stinky tofu, and the other is cold soba noodles.
